Editing the LSI public site
Instructions on updating lab portions of the LSI website.
Thanks for all of your patience while the issues with the Drupal content management system (CMS) for the LSI site have been resolved. For those who were unable to access content in their lab or center, this issue has been fixed with a new taxonomy system that separates ownership and content creation.
With this in mind, here a quick summary of some small changes that all users will see when upon logon to the system (http://lsi.umich.edu/user).
When you log in, you will now see the list highlighted below:

Editing Existing Content
To view the pages available to you to edit, click on the my content link. The page will refresh to display a list of all the pages available to the current login. To edit a page, click on the edit link, and to view it, click on its title:

If a page has been created but not published (i.e., it is not visible to visitors and not found in a search of the site), it will be listed as no under Published.
To sort pages by title, modification date, etc., click on the linked (light blue) text of the table header.
Creating New Content
To create new content for your site, click on the create content link in the left-hand menu, then click on the -Labs link to create a regular page or the video link to add a video.

Alternately, if you are on the my content page as shown on the previous page, select the content type you want from the dropdown menu and click the Add new item button.
The page will refresh to display the form for either kind of content. For regular pages, each username has only one content type mapped to it, and the content type listed in the Categories dropdown menu should match your login username (in this case content_Carroll for the Carroll lab login):

As before, access to the left-hand navigation menu that appears on all pages will remain accessible to administrators only.
